NEWS AND NOTES
The Virginia Highland Area is still getting hit pretty hard with Larcenies from Vehicles and Auto Thefts. In addition, Burglaries are popping up as well. FBAC has adjusted some of the hours accordingly to coincide with crime in the neighborhood. The Zone continues to run details on the evening/night shift to increase police officers not only in the Virginia Highland Neighborhood, but neighborhoods adjacent to us as well that are affected by an increase in criminal activity.
FBAC Officers have also been working with the Zone to hit our Neighborhood Parks and arrest individuals that are violating park hours. Some of the individuals arrested in the Parks have had Histories of Burglaries, Stolen Auto’s, Larceny’s from Vehicles, Robberies and other crimes that we are experiencing in our neighborhood.
FBAC arrested two individuals last month, charged with Park Violations (After Hours). In addition, two additional subjects were arrested. One for False Representation to Police and the other for Urinating In Public.
FBAC Officers encourage the members to continue to phone the Police when they see suspicious activity. When in doubt about something, go with your gut and phone the police. The Police would rather you call
and they find out it’s nothing, then not call and a crime occurs.
